Comparing supplier quotes on price alone leaves out two details that often matter just as much: how much of the item is actually being quoted, and when it will arrive. A quote that looks cheapest on price can turn out to be for a different quantity than requested, or arrive weeks later than a competing offer — details that are easy to miss when a comparison table only shows one number per supplier.
A firm should be able to compare quotes on the full picture — price, quantity, and delivery — without cross-referencing separate emails to piece it together.
Suppliers responding to a quote request can now enter the quantity and delivery date they're quoting, and both appear directly alongside price in the comparison table. Fohlio also flags the earliest delivery date across all responses, so that comparison doesn't require scanning every row manually. Adding and removing suppliers from a request is also more reliable in this release.
The right quote isn't always the cheapest one on paper. This update makes sure a team can see that before committing to a purchase order.
